Candidates running for three open seats on the San Benito County Board of Supervisors are set to address the public tonight in a forum starting at 6:30 p.m. at Hollister City Hall, 375 Fifth St.

The San Benito County Farm Bureau is sponsoring the forum, which will be shown live on cable Channel 17.

The three open seats on the board are for Districts 1, 2 and 5. In District 1, candidates vying to succeed Supervisor Don Marcus include Grant Brians, Margie Barrios and Bonnie Flores-Voropaeff. In District 2, challenger Anthony Freitas is taking on incumbent Supervisor Anthony Botelho. In District 5, challenger Marian Cruz will face incumbent Supervisor Jaime De La Cruz.

Republican candidate Jeff Taylor, running for the 17th Congressional District, is also scheduled to be at the event. He’s challenging Sam Farr, D-Carmel.
