I love how the Free Lance is getting blamed for reporting the
information on the lawsuit against Richard Scagliotti. This forum
has gotten a lot of thoughts out into the open that otherwise
wouldn’t. Scagliotti can see more is coming. Just wait until the
Fair Political Practices Committee has their way with him.

“The Green Party activists are at it again. Why don’t you go back to Santa Cruz where you belong? By you supporting a Supervisor at any cost is appalling. The FBI hotline needs to be called or the Terminator needs to come to town to clean up the mess.”

“I got a chance to read the lawsuit and it’s my humble opinion that you have been very kind to Sheriff Hill regarding his involvement in this lawsuit investigation.

Hill’s connection has to do with alleged wrongdoing in the issuing of a county contract for repairing Sheriff’s vehicles. Hill claims San Benito Tire failed to maintain his vehicles properly and in doing so has placed his deputies in danger.

By the way, Bob Cain is an honest man – ask anyone who knows him.

Why doesn’t Hill or Sarsfield call in the DOJ? Why not? Because the truth would hurt.

The welcome sign at our county line should read, ‘Warning: San Benito County politics is a full contact sport – enter at your own risk. Helmets and pads optional.'”

“Please please continue to allow us peons to speak. Mr. Robbie Scattini has had such a bye til now. Mr. Scattini has more picadillos than the county jail has inmates. I can’t wait for him to run for Marshall. When he does the picadillos are coming.”

“Speeding in Hollister is out of control was right on. However, busting out radar guns and writing speeding tickets to slow speeders won’t do it. The punishment should fit the crime. People are happy to pay fines and take points on their insurance along with higher premiums. To get the attention of these I-don’t-give-a-damn drivers should also come revoking of their drivers license for a minimum of two years for a first offense.

Another thoroughfare that needs policing is Powell Street. It’s not uncommon for drivers to travel this street at 50-plus mph running stop signs at Seventh, South and B streets. This starts about 4 a.m. daily and continues all day. Help!”

“Upon reading the headlines and article in the Free Lance of Oct. 15 about the County Board of Supervisors, I wonder if the four supervisors will vote to have County Counsel defend them in this latest action taken against them? If so, that will mean more of our good taxpayer money going to the lawyers.

After reading the quotation that Mandy Rose gave to the newspaper, I question how she has so much influence since she is only a county employee. I have never seen or heard other county employees speak out so freely and attending other functions during her work hours, which does not pertain to her job. Where did this Mandy Rose come from as she has not been part of the political picture up until the last two or three years?

After reading all that has been alleged, I guess I have to ask the question that has been asked before, ‘What has happened to the $7 million that was supposed to be in the County Reserve Fund?'”
