Rich Peterson deserves credit for service to his country, as
does every man and woman in uniform. But when he refers to this
country’s action in Iraq as a ‘war,’ it is not. It is an
occupation.
Secretary of State Colin Powell said today that the ‘United
States won’t turn over all authority in Iraq to the United
Nations.’
The United States of America is occupying Iraq. Price: $1
billion dollars a day, and more deaths after the stated ‘end of
hostilities’ than during the conflict.

The United States of America is occupying Iraq. Price: $1 billion dollars a day, and more deaths after the stated ‘end of hostilities’ than during the conflict.

Rich brings these points up while discussing a column by Molly Ivins. He states, ‘It was John F. Kennedy that said we would ‘go anywhere, fight any foe.'” John F. Kennedy made that statement in the context of fighting real threats to this country, which Iraq is not, and was not.

He also states, ‘Reasonable debate on the issues is the cornerstone of democracy, but this ‘in your face,’ vindictive, attack-dog style is a pathetic excuse for journalism’ coming from Molly Ivins.

I would say that Ms. Ivins’ columns are not at all a ‘vindictive, attack-dog style is a pathetic excuse for journalism’ as could be said for the type of ‘journalism’ we have seen from the like of Bill O’Reilly, Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity, or the mouthpieces of the right, Rush Limbaugh, Michael Savage, heard daily on the radio.

Yeah Rich, reasonable debate would be nice, and Molly provides a more reasonable debate than the others mentioned. Thanks for your service, and thanks to all of those who have served.”

“‘Another Santos confession at risk’…Yesterday District Attorney John Sarsfield was trying to direct the spotlight away from him and his stumbling assistants and today the light returns. They continue to say they still have a good case without the Santos confessions…BUNK!

If this last confession is thrown out, all they have is grand theft auto. Why can’t these people just be honest? We as taxpayers deserve the truth.

How about this, no truth…no pay.”

“If you work in Hollister’s court system, there are so many ways that people can hurt you. So I am very scared about saying anything that can come back to me and someone in power gets back at me. So with the Citizens Voice I can finally have a say in the public debate.

I have worked in the court system for many years now. We all knew about Mr. Hill’s past, especially deputy district attorney Candice Hooper. She has worked closely with him and Dennis Stafford and Mr. Damkar. She had a chance to defend her former boss Mr. Damkar or Mr. Stafford who helped put away so many criminals. Her staying silent and saying nothing is just like her campaign.

Throughout the campaign she just kept saying, I agree with John Sarsfield. Candice Hooper has become a puppet and either needs to quit, speak out or come out of the closet and say that she too has abandoned her former friends and colleagues.”
