To celebrate the completion of the summer reading program at the San Benito County Free Library, the staff invited the children and their families to a reading circus. The event featured a visit with Boswick the clown, who juggled, performed magic tricks and generally kept the kids entertained.

The summer reading program started June 16. The library staff offered two programs, one for K through eighth grade students, and another for teens from sixth grade to 12th grade. The younger students met each Tuesday at 2 p.m. and visits from a musical storyteller, a park ranger and more.

Though the summer reading program is over, teens can still have some fun at the Tuesday movie matinees. Movies will be shown at 2 p.m. through Aug. 18, with the first showing, “Beverly Hills Chihuahua” on July 28.
