the paper. This week: Oprah helps a Hollister couple get a space of
their own and we take a look at expectations for implementation of
the downtown plan.
1. E-mail wish answered by Oprah for Hollister native

A Hollister native’s husband saw that his wife needed some space of her own at their Utah home, being that they have five children, including two sets of twins. So he e-mailed The Oprah Winfrey Show, described the situation and got his wish. A camera crew recently came out and surprised the woman, as workers, during the taping, shaped up her bedroom. She tells her story, as the taping airs Monday on Oprah.

2. What’s next for downtown plan?

Consultants recently wrapped up their work on the $200,000 downtown strategy plan for Hollister. Next is the hard part – putting it into action. Find out what local business and government leaders expect as they attempt to implement some of the plan’s ideas.
