Other big contributors were El Teatro Campesino for allowing us to use their portable stage, Magdalena Medina of Casa Medina for her display of beautiful Mexican pottery, Ed Ramos, one of our local artists who exhibited his art work, and Sally Andrade of Posh Bagel Company.

Our technical group was outstanding: Paul Skelton handled the lighting design and Emiliano Valdez handed sound design.

More contributors: Phil Fortino of Fortino’s Total Home, and Curtis Hill, San Benito County Sheriff.

The following committee members and volunteers gave unselfishly of their own time: Rosa Apodaca-Nuno, who did a marvelous job as our emcee, LULAC members Octavio Salazar and Gerardo Rodriguez, who worked as servers and helped in the kitchen and did not leave until the work was completely done, Maria Lezama, Suzana Garcia, Juliann and David Palma, Henrietta Luna, Sally Andrade, Ruben Lopez, Bob Vasquez, David Alvarez and Armida Valdez. Thank you all for helping!

Last, but not least, and most importantly, our entertainers. For their endless energy and talent, the up and coming hottest group to hit our area, SOMOS. And it goes without saying one of the best performers, composers, musicians, actors and vocalists, Daniel Valdez.

Thank you also to all who attended our first annual concert at Casa Maria. We’ll see you next year!
