San Benito County’s unemployment rate was at 7.3 percent in October, according to the California Employment Department.
The latest EDD figures showed San Benito County with the 7.3 percent jobless rate for the month. It represented an increase from the September number, 6.5 percent. It remains lower on a year-over-year basis, as unemployment was 8.1 percent in October 2013.
There were 2,000 jobless claims in a county with a workforce of 26,700.
