San Benito County’s unemployment rate crept up a bit in December, according to the latest data from the California Employment Development Department.
The county’s jobless rate was 10.4 percent in December. That was up from 9.9 percent the prior month, according to the EDD. There was an estimate of 24,000 people employed in a workforce of 26,800 people in San Benito County.
Statewide, the rate decreased in December from 8.5 percent to 8.3 percent, according to the state data.
