The county is looking to use $66,157 in funds from the California Department of Public Health for services and training related to the Ebola virus.
County supervisors at their Tuesday meeting will consider authorizing an application and budget for the award with the money used to hire a consultant to create a manual on Ebola-related procedures. Public health also would use some of the funds for training of nursing staff.
The county has received Public Health Emergency Preparedness/Hospital Program Preparedness funds from the state for the past 11 years for disaster preparedness.
The county board is set to meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the County Administration Building, 481 Fourth St.
