San Benito County’s unemployment rate dipped to 7.8 percent in June, a decline from the prior month and a drop from the same period in 2013.
The county’s jobless rate in the June report from the California Employment Development Department showed the 7.8 percent figure, down from 9.1 percent in May. It also represented a decline from the June 2013 reporting period when the rate was 9.6 percent, according to EDD figures.
Statewide, the jobless rate dropped to 7.4 percent in June, from 7.6 percent in May.
