Firefighters put out a vehicle fire along Riverside Road on Tuesday night before it could spread to surrounding, dry vegetation, according to a statement from Calfire.

The vehicle fire was reported about 8 p.m. on Riverside Road about a half mile from Union Road outside of Hollister. Calfire’s San Benito County crews responded along with units from the city. There were 11 firefighters, and the vehicle was fully involved when they first arrived, according to Calfire.

They had it fully contained by about 8:50 p.m. There were no injuries in the incident.
