I often tell players that golf in it’s simplest sense is this:
If your knees remain bent through the swing; if your back angle
remains consistent through the swing; and if your left arm remains
straight, then hitting the ball is pretty easy.
Having correct posture over the ball makes the swing much easier.

I often tell players that golf in it’s simplest sense is this: If your knees remain bent through the swing; if your back angle remains consistent through the swing; and if your left arm remains straight, then hitting the ball is pretty easy.

It is when one or more of those components breaks down that problems occur.

Here is a good drill for you to practice. Your knees should flex just enough to make contact with your pants, while your rear should be out and your back angled slightly. Now, just swing using your left arm and keep it as straight as possible.

After a few sessions of this, lengthen your swing while still keeping your arm straight and your knees and back in the same position. You will be shocked at how well you are doing with just one arm.

Keep this drill up and you will be striking the ball like a pro.
