Dear Editor:
Does the color yellow come to mind when you hear De La Cruz and Velazquez’s attorney is the same that represents the Los Valientes (the brave ones).
One has to ask, are De La Cruz and Velazquez an extension of the brave ones? And how brave does one have to be, for personal gain, to push their political power on the minority community for votes?
Well, a tradition since the Civil War, the color yellow has been chosen by those waiting for brave military people to come home for ribbons and bows to be tied around trees and fence posts. Now, De La Cruz and Velazquez, being accused of vote tampering, have soiled the fine color of yellow and renewed its old despicable meaning.
Alas, should De La Cruz and Velazquez be convicted as charged of the terrible election violations that have been reported in newspapers, fashion designers say the color yellow is not compatible with the color orange worn at the Graybar hotel.
