Nov. 13: Bob Cruz receives authorization for a No. 1 to be
placed before his name on the ballot, claiming voters may be
confused by his and Jaime De La Cruz’s last names. De La Cruz finds
out two months later, too late to make the same request, and cries
foul at Cruz’s action.
