“I applaud the Senate’s vote to unanimously approve Leon Panetta as our nation’s next Secretary of Defense.
Time and time again, Leon has proved he is a strong leader, ready and prepared to tackle our nation’s difficult problems. As our nation continues to battle in two wars, while facing the need to cut defense spending, I am confident Leon will serve as the right choice to get the job done.”
