The Hollister Community Services Department is holding the third and final public workshop for input on the master plan for Vista Park Hill on Thursday.

The meeting is being held to get public input on the design of Vista Park Hill and to collect information from park visitors. Santa Cruz-based SSA Landscape Architects, which prepared the plan, will be on hand to make its third and final public presentation on the possible costs and phases of the master plan.

The park is located on Park Hill and “offers outstanding panoramic views of Hollister and the surrounding area while providing 15 acres of recreational opportunities,” according to a press release from the city.

After the Thursday meeting, the plan will then be reviewed by the Parks and Recreation Commission on May 26 and by the Planning Commission on May 28. With approval of those commissions, the plan will be sent to the Hollister City Council for final approval, likely at its June 15 meeting.

All members of the public are invited to the meeting. It will be held at 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday in chambers at Hollister City Hall, 375 Fifth St. If you have any questions regarding the meeting, call the Hollister Community Services Department at 637-4370.
