Who runs the site: According to the site’s “about” section, it was started by a group of very competitive friends. They started it as a way to find out who had the best celebrity impression and to track who had won the most Nerf basketball competitions.

Who is likely to use the site: Lots and lots of bored high schoolers, college students and any one with an ultra-competitive streak who wants to show they are better than everyone else.

Pros: This site is perfect for people who are competitive about everything, whether it be how many slices of pizza than can be eaten at a company party to how long one can go without sleep.

The way it works is that registered users can create a challenge or compete in already existing challenges. The challenges are things that can be done in a photo or video for the most part, and other users vote for which photo or video is the best and which ones, well, aren’t. Some of the current competitions include best photo with earphones, best black and white photo and best picture you’re parents shouldn’t see.

Users earn points for winning competitions as well as voting on other competitions – and I guess the point is that when you have way more points than your friends you can rub it in their faces.

Posting your own competition is easy enough and users can set up their own rules for the challenge, ie. if it is a Nerf basketball challenge competitors have to compete from a certain distance.

Cons: The site looks like it could be a huge time suck, as many networking-type sites are. In addition, though the site has an option to flag users who post inappropriate content, be prepared to see some inappropriate content if you spend a lot of time on the site.

And for the truly competitive, this site might cause a few fights among friends.
