Who is likely to use the site: Anyone who missed the latest episode of their favorite show, or who wants to get a second look, and those who want to view movies online.
Pros: The Web site has content from 50 different providers including Fox, NBC, MGM, Sony Pictures Television, Warner Bros., and Lionsgate. They play full-length episodes of primetime shows the morning after they air, as well as classics. They also offer clips of some shows or films.
So far the site is free and users just need to watch some advertising to view the online content. Unlike YouTube, the video is guaranteed to have good volume and sound, because the videos are legally provided to the site. Once users register, they can add shows to their queue and they can even get a “subscription” to their favorite series.
The site offers videos at high quality and even has a few examples of high-definition video, though these clips may require better hardware and software than some of us might have.
Cons: The site allows users to choose how they view the content, be it on the full-screen of their monitor or a pop-up window. But they still have to watch the videos on a computer, which can make for awkard viewing for longer films or when users want to watch with a group.
