More than 300 wrestlers from ages 5 to 50 participated in the John Kiesewetter Faultline Rumble at Mattson and O’Donnell gyms Saturday.
Grapplers from Razorback Wrestling, which sponsored the event, included 65-pounder Kenny Salcedo, 10-year-old nephew of Razorback Wrestling President David Salcedo, 9-year-old Mike Soto, Justin Rainey, Anthony and Junior Davila and 5-year-old David San Miguel, whom Salcedo termed one of his future stars.
San Benito High school was represented by Chris Mora and Jacob and Jamie Driskill.
The tournament was renamed for Kiesewetter, who coached wrestling for over three decades and founded Razorback Wrestling in 1980. He recently retired from coaching after being in charge of the junior varsity program at Hollister High for the past 10 years.
