Hollister local Ernie Reyes relaxes on his Kawasaki Ninja 636 as he is consumed in a sea of motorcyles on San Benito Street during the Hollister Motorcycle Ralley July 5.

“The Guess Who” will be playing at the Hollister Freedom Rally, the newly named event over Independence Day weekend.
The band with hits in the 1960s and 1970s is scheduled to play the Saturday night of the three-day rally July 3-5 in downtown Hollister, according to event organizers in a press statement.
This is the third year for the revived motorcycle rally, the city’s signature event that draws tens of thousands of visitors each year. It started in 1997 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the so-called “invasion” of the town involving Boozefighters—an exaggerated narrative portrayed in the movie, “The Wild One.”
The show is included with the VIP package, according to organizers. For more information, go to hollisterfreedomrally.com.

And we’re also making sure the respect level remains at an all-time high for how the music was initially recorded and remains at an all-time high for the fans who have been with the band from the beginning.”
