Dear Editor,

I spent a year in Vietnam September 1997 to September 1998. Senator Kerry was there only for four months. Apparently for his fourth Purple Heart. It was just a scratch and in question as to whether enemy action was involved, but he came home a hero. At that time you could not be a popular war hero so he became an anti-war hero, testifying before the Senate Foreign relations committee and supporting Jane Fonda and the other dissidents. You can read his testimony in Google or Yahoo. It is really a tirade against the Vietnam veterans who only wanted to support their country. No wonder that Vietnam vets are strongly against him!

After he was elected to Congress, he modified his pacifist stance and supported our actions against Iran, Afghanistan, Iraq, etc. because that was the prevailing trend. Now he wants to change his tune because that is his only means to oppose the president. This guy is blowing in the wind!
