Hollister – The Kinship Center, a Salinas-based nonprofit that helps children find adoptive parents throughout the state, recently received a windfall from generous San Benito County residents.

The center was awarded a check for $60,000 in late January – the proceeds from the annual Kinship Food and Wine Tasting last September. The annual event held at Paicines Ranch featured the best food and wine available in San Benito County for participants to taste while raising money to help the Kinship Center cover operation costs.
