Dear Editor,
It seems as though every time Defense Attorney Art Cantu tries to defend his clients your paper accuses him of sour grapes because he lost the election to the district attorney. I wonder if it could be possible that he is just doing his job and he does not have the sour grape attitude that you folks accuse him of having.
Every four years comes the inauguration of our president, that means yours and mine, and you failed to report that fact in your Thursday, Jan. 20, 2005 paper.
The inauguration of President George W. Bush was broadcast around the world but your paper chose not to mention it on the day of the inaugural. The next day it was reported in a snotty way at the bottom of the page. Like him or not, he still is president of the United States of America.
Is there some hypocrisy going on at your paper? Could it be possible that pungent odor emanating from your paper is the smell of sour grapes?
