What a relief! Marvin Jones parts company with this party on preemptive war.
Sounds as though he remembers the Nuremberg Trials. I, as a high school student at the time, remember well the Nuremberg Trials. A steady stream of news headlines and stories flowed as Gestapo and SS members were convicted of torture, genocide, medical cruelty, enslavement and other unspeakable atrocities.
Those trials wrapped nooses around necks of nine Nazi war criminals, Specifically, Von Ribbentrop was hung for the war crime of preemptive war!
The supreme violation of international law was determined to be the invasion of one sovereign country by another sovereign country.
Marvin Jones may be against preemptive war, but he certainly has been leading the troops on this one. By the way, how will history treat the ‘Bush Doctrine’ known as preemptive war ?
