Editor,
What’s the mystery? We tax and fee and assess and regulate small and very small business owners into insolvency and bankruptcy court, yet our leaders say they want economic development. The small business failure rate is 80 percent in the first five years, but confiscatory tax and fee burdens and suffocating, strangling regulations make profits a virtual impossibility for California’s small business owners. Could there be a better example of hypocrisy?
