Swing by Ridgemark: Many times the strength of a golfer will

uncontrolled power is now a weakness.
Many times the strength of a golfer will become his or her weakness. A man’s power may be his strength, but uncontrolled power is now a weakness.

Men frequently lose their balance by swinging too hard as they try to muscle a few more yards out of their driver. Ladies usually have more flexibility than men do, but uncontrolled flexibility is one of lady golfers’ biggest weaknesses.

Many ladies turn so far on their backswing that their body cannot catch up with their club at impact. During many of my lessons with the ladies, they are amazed when I show them how far back the club goes on their backswing. By simply seeing their shadow, ladies can see their club go back as far as John Daly! This will cause a loss of needed distance and lack of direction control.

For more help with controlling your power or flexibility, see one of our teaching professionals at Ridgemark.

Rule 16-2 allows Peter enough reasonable time to reach the hole and an additional 10 seconds to determine if the ball will drop.

And no, Peter, you cannot jump up and down to try and shake the ball into the cup!
