Bill’s Bullpen in Hollister is one of thousands of comic book shops around the world celebrating comic books May 3 in an annual giveaway, according to an announcement from the store.
According to the announcement:
Free Comic Book Day will involve more than two million comic books being given away at participating stores. It is now in its 13th year.
“We at Bill’s Bullpen want to spread the word that comics are perfect for today’s times,” owner Bill Mifsud said in the announcement. “Comic books and graphic novels are considered hip, hot and smart.”

The event will start at 10 a.m. May 3 and runs until all free comics are given away. Bill’s Bullpen is located at 207 Fourth St. Details: (831) 636-1180.
