department.
Hollister police have arrested a 17-year-old male accusing him of distributing “obscene material” – video footage taken on his cell phone involving sexual activity with another minor, according to the police department.

Police arrested the juvenile Thursday. The investigation started a week prior when the juvenile female reported how she and the male had engaged in sexual activity, and alleged the male made a video using his cell phone and distributed it to others, according to police.

The male was booked into San Benito County Juvenile Hall on one misdemeanor count of distributing material depicting a minor engaged in sexual activity.

If convicted, the penalty is imprisonment in the county jail for up to one year, a fine not to exceed $1,000 or both, according to the penal code.
