a free Mother’s Day event from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
The Elkhorn Slough National Estuarine Research Reserve will host a free Mother’s Day event from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Sunday’s event will include bird watching tours of the great blue heron, great egret and double-breasted cormorants at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., watching leopard sharks and a tour of the Rookery. The Joe Weed Band will perform bluegrass tunes and the first 200 mothers will receive flowers.
