Students at San Benito High School who are involved with Associated Student Body are trying to find host families for 69 people coming from England.

Three more homes are needed to host at least two people for a five-day stay from April 5 through April 10. Sixty-two out of the 69 people have been housed, said Becky Doty, student activities clerk at San Benito High School.

The 69 people coming to Hollister are from the Sedgehill School Concert Band in London, and they start their 13th overseas tour to California on March 28.

People in the community, staff at the high school and students have stepped up and opened up their homes to this group of people, Doty said. Some students are housing up to four students, she said.

The ASB students have put this together, Doty said, and they are the reason why it’s happening.

While the group is visiting, they will visit Pier 39 in San Francisco, take the Alcatraz cruise, perform at an assembly at San Benito High School and perform the anthem for the San Francisco’s Giants game against the San Diego Padres, according to the itinerary.
