Angels pitcher Matt Campo nears the limit of 85 pitches in a 0-0 game.

On June 15, Hollister National defeated Hollister American in a closely contested 3-0 Tournament of Champions title game that took place in Hollister as well.

The two teams advanced through the District 9 Tournament of Champions in the Major Division bracket to meet in the region’s title game. The TOC games are a culmination of the regular Little League season before the All Stars tournament, which is now under way, gets started.

Those two teams, the Angels and the winning Mets, were respective representatives for Hollister in the 12-U division of Little League. The championship game was scoreless until the fifth inning, when the Mets broke away for the victory.
