Police blotter

Police reported a white Chevy Malibu was stolen sometime between
7:30 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. Friday near the 1100 block of Marne
Drive. The vehicle owner parked the car in her driveway the night
before and discovered it missing in the morning. When police
responded Monday they located the vehicle nearby in the 1000 block
of Cedar Drive and discovered the reporting party’s purse and car
seat was taken from the car. The purse had nearly $50 of items
inside. Police are still investigating.
Vehicle theft, Marne Drive

Police reported a white Chevy Malibu was stolen sometime between 7:30 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. Friday near the 1100 block of Marne Drive. When police responded Monday they located the vehicle nearby in the 1000 block of Cedar Drive and discovered the reporting party’s purse and car seat was taken from the car. The purse had nearly $50 of items inside. Police are still investigating.

Burglary, Seventh Street

Police reported a home break-in and car vandalism sometime between 1 a.m. and 9 a.m. Friday near the 400 block of Seventh Street. The suspect snuck into the garage through a sliding glass door overnight and threw a “river rock” into the rear window of the car. Police have identified the suspect and are following up on leads.

Petty theft, Petaluma Court

Sometime between 8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. Friday, police reported a vehicle break-in and theft near the 1600 block of Petaluma Court. The reporting party discovered her purse and GPS system were taken from the car overnight. She remembered locking the door but the car showed no signs of forced entry. Police are still investigating.

Threats, Homestead Avenue

Police responded to a threat of violent threats between two suspects at 1 p.m. Friday near the 900 block of Homestead Ave. Officers reported to Target when the suspects were arguing over a girl. The two were former employees of Target and started threatening each other. One suspect was arrested after making violent threats.

Burglary, Bridge Road

In the first block of Bridge Road, officers responded to a reported break-in and theft of a laptop sometime between 6 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday. The owner of the motor home came home and discovered the front door had been pried opened and discovered his laptop missing. Police have no suspects.

Burglary, San Felipe Frontage Road

Police responded to the 1500 block of San Felipe Frontage Road at 7 p.m. Friday when someone reported their recreational vehicle was broken into at a storage yard. The owner discovered the door had been opened but no items appeared to be missing. Police have no suspects.

Obstruction, McCray Street

Just after 10:30 p.m. Friday, officers responded to a large disturbance in the middle of the street near the 300 block of McCray Street. A large group of juveniles gathered and were fighting causing one kid to throw up, according to a witness. When officers arrived and tried to break up the fight, a group of three juveniles resisted. One allegedly spat on an officer, and another allegedly clenched his fist hoping to fight an officer. Three juveniles were arrested and their ages were 14, 15 and 17.

Burglary, San Benito Street

At 2 a.m. Saturday, police responded to the 500 block of San Benito Street after a report of a vehicle break-in outside Johnny’s. The ca owner reported her sunglasses, board games, a camera and parts of her stereo were taken. The police have no suspects.

Theft, Line Street

Officers responded to the 400 block of Line Street at 4:30 p.m. Saturday after a witness saw two juvenile males in the area skateboarding before stealing the Briggs Alley street sign. The two juveniles were skating before throwing a smoke bomb in the witness’ yard and taking the street sign. Police have yet to identify the suspects.

Annoying phone calls, Jacaranda Court

Police reported a number of threatening phone calls to a resident in the 1700 block of Jacaranda Court from April 25 to Sunday. The reporting party said the suspect had been calling and cursing at him. The suspect wanted to fight the reporting party, he said. Officers are still investigating.

Theft, Park Alley

Police reported a stolen speedometer from a bicycle sometime between 8 a.m. April 27 and 9 p.m. Sunday near the 300 block of Park Alley. The bike owner complained the speedometer was stolen while the bike was in his garage. Police have identified suspects and are currently investigating.
