Car Thefts

Car thieves stole a Volkswagen Jetta from the driveway of a home in the 800 block of Nash Road between 11pm Sunday and 5am Monday, the Hollister Police Department said. There are no suspects.

Car thieves stole a Chevrolet Caprice from a home in the 600 block of South Street between 6pm Jan. 18 and 9:20am Tuesday, police said. The car was recovered in King City, completely torched, a $1,500 loss, police said. There are no suspects.

Burglaries

Burglars used an unlocked door to enter a home in the 800 block of Bonnie View Road in Hollister between 7:30am and 12:30pm Monday, police said. Burglars took a 32-inch television, a Sony LCD flat screen, a desktop computer with speakers, costume jewelry, silver coins and a laptop computer, police said. The items are estimated to be worth $6,100, police said. There are no suspects.

Burglars used windows to enter a home in the first block of Knight Lane in Hollister between 11:45am and 3pm Monday, police said. Burglars took $75 worth of coins, police said. There are no suspects.

Burglars entered a home in the 1200 block of Jan Avenue in Hollister on Jan. 25 and Jan. 29, police said. Burglars took $950 worth of electronics, police said. A 17-year-old and a 15-year-old were arrested and most of the items were returned, police said.

Burglars used an open garage door to enter a home in the 500 block of Verona Place in Hollister between 9am and 6pm Tuesday, police said. Burglars took several watches, a Dell laptop, an IBM laptop and a Kodak camera. The items are estimated to be worth $5,900, police said. There are no suspects.

Burglars used unknown means to enter a home in the 1700 block of Graf Road in Hollister between 7:30am and 8:40am Tuesday. Burglars took men’s and women’s jewelry worth $5,250 and $3,000 in cash, police said. There are no suspects.

Burglars forced their way through a window to enter a home in the first block of Ortiz Court in Hollister between 9:55am and 11am Wednesday, police said. Burglars took $200 worth of coins, police said. There are no suspects.

Burglars used unknown means to enter a home in the 400 block of Seventh Street in Hollister between 10:15am and 2:30pm Wednesday, police said. Burglars took $1,000 in cash, police said. There are no suspects.

Vandalism

Vandals threw a bottle at a Ford Expedition in the 00 block of Knight Lane in Hollister at approximately 7:20pm Monday, the Hollister Police Department said. Damage is estimated to be $400, police said. There are no suspects.

All those named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
