Assault with a deadly weapon, Chaparral Court

A Hollister juvenile was arrested after a fight that caused serious head injuries to another party. The juvenile caused enough damage as to warrant transporting the victim to an out-of-county hospital. Police said they are not exactly sure of the extent of the injuries but report that he should be all right. The incident occurred on Thursday evening at 10:15 p.m. on the 600 block of Chaparral Court.

Disorderly conduct, Line Street

On Wednesday at 5 p.m., Hollister police responded to a call regarding a drunk juvenile who was punching vehicles and challenging people to fight at the intersection of Line Street and Del Rio Drive. The suspect was unable to care for himself and others. The juvenile was arrested and brought to juvenile hall where he was charged with vehicle tampering and challenging a fight.

CRIMINAL REPORTS

Identity theft

Police received a report from a victim who had stolen the resident’s identity on Thursday. Police said the suspect obtained the victim’s 2006 tax return and stole the social security number and proceeded to collect on a tax return. The victim called the IRS and was told that the return had been given to another party. No suspect information is available and the investigation is ongoing.

Annoying phone calls, Airline Highway

At 9:40 a.m. Thursday, the police received a complaint regarding annoying phone calls that had been going on since Jan. 11. The victim has been receiving phone calls from the suspect on a cell phone. The report was given from the 1700 block of Airline Highway. The suspect is still outstanding.

Burglary, San Felipe Road

A burglary of Pacific Interlock Paving Stone, 1895 San Felipe Road, occurred on Wednesday between noon and 12:30 p.m. During that time, an unknown suspect stole a wooden pallet containing 95 stone pavers. While most of the merchandise has been found and accounted for, some of it is still missing. The suspect also has not been located.
