At noon Saturday in the 200 block of C Street, a man reported
that he was receiving annoying phone calls because he didn’t write
an obituary for his mom, who recently passed.
Vandalism, Versailles Drive

Between midnight and 7 a.m. Thursday, officers reported vandalism to a vehicle in the 800 block of Versailles Drive. When the vehicle owner walked to the car in the morning, he discovered the front driver’s side window was smashed in. Police reported nothing stolen.

Under the influence, Tres Pinos Road

At 2:20 p.m. Thursday, as officers were questioning witness of an earlier crime at the Kmart, they found a women who was under the influence of an undisclosed drug. The woman, who was with a child, was incoherent and unable to describe to the officers what she saw. The woman was arrested.

Robbery, Tres Pinos Road

Just after 8 p.m. Thursday inside Safeway, officers responded to a robbery by a 17-year-old. A juvenile walked into the store and took beer before trying to flee. As he was leaving the store a clerk noticed him and tried to stop him. The juvenile threatened the clerk to not get involved before leaving the store. Using surveillance footage and witness statements, officers identified the suspect and placed him under arrest.

Vehicle fire, Fifth Street

Around 2 a.m. Friday, officers responded to the 600 block of Fifth Street after receiving reports of a car engulfed by flames. When officers arrived they discovered the Mitsubishi Eclipse fully consumed. After the fire was extinguished, officers determined mechanical malfunctioning caused it.

Force, A Street

At 3:30 p.m. Friday, officers responded to the intersection of West and A streets after two juveniles beat a man. The man said he was walking in the area before two juveniles started punching and kicking him. Officers reported the man had scratches and bruises because of the brawl. The police are still investigating.

Annoying phone calls, C Street

At noon Saturday in the 200 block of C Street, a man reported that he was receiving annoying phone calls because he didn’t write an obituary for his mom, who recently passed. The man reported he was receiving multiple calls from friends, family and neighbors regarding the obituary.

Trespassing, East Street

Just after midnight Sunday, officers arrested a man in the 800 block of East Street after he got into a fight with the property’s security guard. The man was asked to leave after he was causing a disturbance but he refused to. The man instead started to attack the security guard, punching him. The guard eventually led him outside as officers were driving by. The man was arrested and charged with battery.
