Auto theft

Thieves stole a Ford Focus sedan from the parking lot of Target at about 4pm Sunday, police said. The car was locked, police said. There are no suspects.

Domestic violence

Gregory Rapp, 45, of Hollister, was arrested by police on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic violence after officers responded to a home where he allegedly threw a woman against a wall and tried to hit her with a metal safe at 1:33am Sunday, police said.

Driving under the influence

Anthony Michael Martinez, 22, of the 500 block of Verona Place in Hollister, was arrested by police on suspicion of driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, after officers pulled him over at the intersection of Monterey and B Streets in Hollister at 1:20am Sunday, police said.

Steven James Perez, 25, of Watsonville, was arrested by the CHP on suspicion of driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, after a crash at Monterey Street and Fourth Street at 4:40am Saturday, according to the CHP.

Gilbert Anthony Valencia, 22, of the 1200 block of Mariposa Court in Hollister, was arrested by the CHP on suspicion of driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, and possession of an open container while driving, after officers pulled him over at the intersection of Fairview Road and Fallon Road at 11:36pm Saturday, according to the CHP.

Ramiro Chavez Fernandez, 49, of the 800 block of Brittany Circle in Hollister, was arrested by the CHP on suspicion of driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, after deputies turned him over to the CHP at the intersection of San Benito Street and South Street at 1:48am Monday, according to the CHP.

All those named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
