ARRESTS

Illegal knife, Homestead Avenue

At 8:27 p.m. on Monday, an officer was conducting a routine traffic stop in the area of Homestead Avenue and Neil Drive and found the driver of the vehicle to be in possession on an illegal switchblade. The Hollister juvenile was arrested and booked into juvenile hall.

Possession of a dangerous weapon, San Benito Street

At 1:55 p.m. on Tuesday, a Presidential Security officer pulled over a vehicle behind Hollister Realty on the 200 block of San Benito Street. A Hollister officer saw this while driving past Hill Street and stopped to assist the officer. The suspect, a 55-year-old Gilroy man, was found to be in possession of an ASP baton. He was arrested for possessing the baton and was booked into the county jail.

Drunk in public, San Benito Street

At 1 a.m. on Tuesday, an officer saw a 25-year-old Hollister man fall against a parked pick-up truck in front of the San Benito Billiards on the 500 block of San Benito Street. Upon contacting him, the officer noticed objective signs of intoxication. He was arrested and booked into the county jail.

CRIMINAL COMPLAINTS

Threats, Sunnyslope Road

At 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, a victim reported that he received threats to himself and his family from his neighbor on the 1500 block of Sunnyslope Road. The incident occurred while driving and police report it was over road rage. Both parties were driving and the suspect was following the victim closely. The neighbor pulled him over and said that he flipped off his wife, to which the reported victim said he did not. The suspect then threatened the victim and his family, according to police. The case has been referred to the San Benito County District Attorney’s office.

Using a stolen credit car, San Benito Street

At 12:18 p.m. on Monday, an unknown suspect used a stolen debit card at the Bank of America on the 300 block of San Benito Street. Police said that the card was stolen from Seaside and has been used three times to get money. The case is pending further investigation.

Grand theft, Monterey Street

At 2 p.m. on Tuesday, a vehicle was left unlocked on the 1100 block of Monterey Street, leading to many items being stolen. The vehicle was parked in the driveway, and an unknown suspect or suspects went into the car and stole an iPod, a cell phone, a cell-phone charger, a bracelet, various CDs and perfume.
