Burglary

A juvenile was arrested by Hollister police officers at 2:38 p.m. Tuesday for burglary at Target, 1700 Airline Highway. According to the police report, the suspect took an MP3 player. Shoplifting becomes a charge of burglary when intent is suspected by police. Intent can be established by an admission of guilt by the suspect or by the suspect entering a place of business with no means of paying.

Grand Theft Auto

At 9:30 p.m. Monday, a Dodge Charger was stolen from the 1200 block of Holly Tree Circle. Police are investigating but have no suspect information.

Grand Theft

A backpack containing a computer, $100 in cash, stationary and an iPod was stolen at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 9. Police report that a man working as a consultant for a high-tech firm was on a job when he left his backpack for a short time to check on something nearby. When he returned, the backpack was missing.
