Police recently arrested three suspects at a local motel after officers found a loaded firearm and drugs in their room, according to a Hollister Police Department statement.
Just after midnight Dec. 18, police arrested Marc Solorio, 40, Zavan Quezada, 32, and Stephen Simmons, 18, on suspicion of varying charges.
It started when an officer pulled into the Hollister Inn Motel parking lot at 152 San Felipe Road and noticed Solorio, who had a warrant out for his arrest. Police reported that Solorio, when he noticed the officer, ran into one of the rooms.
The officer called for backup, and police made contact with the three men in the room. Police found the firearm, narcotics and a large amount of cash, according to the police report.
According to the statement from police, officers arrested all three men and transported them to the San Benito County Jail. Solorio was booked on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm, possession of a controlled substance, transportation of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance while armed and the prior warrant for possession of a controlled substance for sale.
Quezada was booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, and Simmons was booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and being under the influence of a controlled substance, police alleged.
