Hollister police are seeking more information about an assault by a large group of suspects on two other males Nov. 18 in the parking lot of the Taco Bell at 431 Tres Pinos Road.
Around 9 p.m. Nov. 18, police responded to the Taco Bell after a report of a large fight, according to police. When officers arrived, the large group dispersed and ran toward Kristina’s Restaurant.
Witnesses reported that 8 to 12 Hispanic males and females confronted a smaller group of juveniles in the Taco Bell parking lot, according to the release. The large group was wearing mostly red, black and white clothing.
The large group confronted the smaller one after one of the large group’s males asked the smaller group if they whistled at him. The 6-foot-tall suspect, wearing a white long-sleeve shirt, black hat and black jeans, then asked the smaller group if they wanted to fight.
After denying that they whistled at the large group, a 5-foot-7-inch member of the larger group punched someone from the smaller group, according to police. Afterward, the larger group attacked the other member of the smaller group.
The victims were treated at Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.
Police are still investigating the incident and are asking for more information. The department is offering a reward through WeTip if any information leads to the identity and conviction of the suspects involved.
