Sunday morning, and police are looking for two suspects who fled
the scene.
Gilroy – A Santa Clara man was shot and injured in downtown Gilroy early Sunday morning, and police are looking for two suspects who fled the scene.

Ricardo Carrillo, 33, of Santa Clara, was walking in the area of Martin and Railroad streets about 2:18am Sunday when he was confronted by two Hispanic men, according to the Gilroy Police Department.

The suspects, described as between the ages of 20 and 22, confronted the victim, displayed a handgun and fired a single shot that struck him in the upper left arm. The injury was not life-threatening, police said.

The suspects fled eastbound on Martin Street on foot, firing two additional shots, witnesses reported to police. The men were described as both wearing black Raiders jackets, one with a hooded sweatshirt.

Police are continuing their investigation into the shooting.
