Hollister City Council members Monday are scheduled to hear a report about the city’s signature annual event, the motorcycle rally.
The report will include facts and figures on how much the event cost the city and how much revenue it brought in. Interim City Manager Bill Avera will deliver the report to the council. The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Hollister City Hall, 375 Fifth St.
The council previously committed to allowing the rally to be held in Hollister for the next 10 years. The Hollister Downtown Association and Worldwide Dynamics, the contracted manager for the event, have signed a deal to collaborate on the event for the next five years.
The 2013 Hollister Motorcycle Rally was the first to be held in Hollister since 2008, when the city decided to cancel that year’s event due to security costs.
