Potholes get fixed in two Hollister spots

Crews have responded recently to a couple of pothole issues pointed out in recent installments of Public Works. There had been about 10 medium-sized craters on Buena Vista Road on the city’s west side, and crews filled them appropriately in short time. There also had been a pothole right in the middle of the entrance to the city parking lot on Sixth Street downtown, and crews took care of that one as well.

There is a big shortage of manpower for the city due to some consolidation at the city and he understands the potholes are a “big concern” to residents, official Marcelo Orta pointed out. But while city workers used to address the potholes once a week, Orta said he now plans to try filling potholes two days per week when the weather permits.

If you notice a pothole somewhere in the city, call the public works department at 636-4340.
