The difficult part about having a lot of trees within the city is that sometimes their branches can cause safety impediments, which is the case with one of them along Memorial Drive.

There is a tree with branches covering the stop sign along the busy street at the intersection of Oak Street – which is about halfway between Sunnyslope Road and Sunset Drive on the road with the city’s most-used park.

The city’s public works department addresses the situations once they become aware of them, with particular promptness if there is a safety concern.

The Hollister Public Works Department is aware of the branch issue on Memorial Drive.
