Tennis courts hit with painted graffiti

Anyone serving up a wicked shot at the Dunne Park tennis courts is destined to notice the ungraceful writings of a graffiti vandalist who recently painted on the large, green board against the fence there.

Clay Lee, the city’s community services director, noted how the parks division has an abatement program and that crews will clean up the vandalism at Dunne Park as soon as possible.

“We’ll take care of it,” he said. “If we see things, like on sound walls or utility boxes, or in the parks or public buildings, we try to respond to those as soon as we are aware of them.”

Lee also noted how the police department runs a volunteer program for graffiti abatement for which it organizes weekend clean-up sessions in the city.
