American flags adorned San Benito Street as motorcycles ride through downtown July 5 for the Hollister Motorcycle Rally.

With the Hollister Rally headed toward a second year back, Manager Mark Cresswell from Worldwide Dynamics envisions possibly expanding the event to three days for the 2014 rally.
On July 5 and July 6, Hollister officials held the first Hollister motorcycle rally – traditionally held over three days – since 2008. Next year, the Fourth of July is on a Friday. Cresswell said he wants Hollister to be the “place to be” for the July 4 weekend and expects much bigger crowds in 2014.
“There’s a lot of demand for a third day, at least half that day,” he said in an interview with the Free Lance. “We’re always going to be looking to do cleanup and present the city back to normal the following Monday. I don’t see it being more than a three-day event.”
