Ronald D. Nigh died Wednesday, Aug. 6, at his Hollister home. He was 47.

A native of Palo Alto, Nigh came to Hollister from San Jose five years ago. He owned and operated Finishing Touch Painting and Decorating for 15 years. He married his wife, Vickie, in 1999, and both were members of the Hollister United Methodist Church.

Nigh is survived by his wife, Vickie Nigh of Hollister; children Samantha Nigh, Taylor Nigh and Ben de la Rocha, all of Hollister; parents Patricia and Al Beemer of Lawton, Okla.; sisters Laura Cabe of Lawton, Okla., and Tricia Robertson of Lewisville, Texas; brother John Nigh of Lawton, Okla., and brother and sister-in-law Jerry and Sue Foster of Hollister.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, at the family home, 270 Daffodil Drive, Hollister. The Rev. Ardyss Golden of the United Methodist Church will officiate.

Donations are preferred to The American Cancer Society or Cuddly Critters, Inc., in care of Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home.

Arrangements and cremation are through Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home and Gavilan Hills Crematory.
