Ronald J. Jones lost his battle with leukemia in Pagosa Springs, CO. on February 26th, 2010.

Born in San Jose, Ca., he grew up in Morgan Hill. Ron served in the 382nd Ordinance Heavy Maintenance U.S. Army. In 1960 he started working for the Morgan Hill Unified School District, and after 26 years of service, he was one of the department heads of the MOT department in 1986. After retiring Ron spent time in McCloud, CA. before moving to Pagosa Springs, CO.

Ron loved to sing in church choirs in Morgan Hill, and Pagosa Springs. He square danced, played golf, and was a member of the San Martin Lions Club.

He is survived by his wife Julia of Pagosa Springs, brother and spouse John Jones (Kay) of Danville, his children and spouses Debbie Brown (Daniel) of Gilroy, Darryl Jones (Deanna) of Burney, DeAnn Ball (Terry) of Dayton, NV., three grandchildren, and four great- grandchildren. Ron’s family, many relatives, and friends will miss him.

A celebration of life service is being planned.
