The Seniors council will again visit local farmers markets in order to provide nutritional information and to distribute vouchers for food purchases, with a visit to the Hollister market on Tuesday.

The $20 vouchers are free to seniors who are 60 years and older who are considered low income (below $1,679 a month for a one-person household or $2,268 for a two-person household. The vouchers can be used to purchase fresh fruits, fresh vegetables, fresh herbs or honey. The downtown Hollister Farmers Market is every Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., through the end of September.

The vouchers will be given out on a first come, first served basis and are limited to one per family per year. Vouchers will be distributed on a first come, first served basis, and are limited to only one voucher per family per year.
