Evading a peace officer, Canon Road

At 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, a deputy attempted to stop a car for having burned out taillights near the intersection of Highway 101 and Canon Road. The car fled from the scene on Canon Road towards Watsonville. Authorities terminated the stop because they can only pursue if there has been a felony committed. No suspect information was available.

Trespassing, San Juan Canyon Road

At 5 p.m. on Sunday, a 50-year-old San Juan Bautista man was arrested for trespassing on the 4600 block of San Juan Canyon Road. The owner told authorities that he was there when the man was trespassing and didn’t know who he was or what he was doing there. The suspect was arrested and booked into the county jail.

Commercial burglary, Highway 101

At 8 a.m. on Monday, authorities received a report of a burglary that happened at 101 Livestock on the 4400 block of Highway 101. Authorities reported that an unknown suspect or suspects broke into the office through a window and stole $300.

Commercial burglary, San Juan Road

At 5 p.m. on Monday, authorities received a report of a burglary at San Juan Auto Wreckers on the 2100 block of San Juan Road. The lock and chain to the main gate had been cut and a door had been damaged. Damages to the door totaled $500. No suspect information was available and as far as authorities know, no property was taken.
